Individual Therapy for Adults
Our early experiences and relationships shape how we see ourselves and connect with others. Therapy provides a supportive space to reflect on these influences, increase self-awareness, and create new patterns that promote resilience, balance, and authenticity. With curiosity and compassion, we can explore the roots of what may be holding you back and open the way toward a life that feels more meaningful and aligned with who you truly are.
I work with adults navigating a wide range of challenges including life transitions, grief and loss, anxiety and depression, relationship and family dynamics, and concerns related to identity and self-esteem. My style is warm and collaborative—I bring both insight and practical tools to help you integrate new awareness into everyday life, so you can feel more grounded, connected, and empowered.
Couples Therapy
Couples come to therapy for many different reasons. Some are navigating a crisis or betrayal and need support finding a way forward. Others feel stuck in patterns of conflict, disconnection, or silence. Many simply want to strengthen their relationship, deepen intimacy, and build a more resilient partnership.
In our work together, I help couples recognize and shift the patterns that keep them feeling distant or stuck. We’ll focus on practical tools to improve communication, rebuild trust, and create a stronger sense of safety and connection. My approach is active and collaborative—I offer guidance and insight in session, while encouraging couples to practice new skills and ways of relating between meetings.
Child & Family Therapy
Parenting, while deeply rewarding, can also be stressful and overwhelming—especially without the right support. My work with children, parents, and families offers a blend of empathy, guidance, and practical tools to help navigate challenges with greater ease. Rooted in attachment theory and informed by the latest research in psychology, child development, and neuroscience, my approach supports both individual growth and healthier family dynamics.
Through conversation, creative expression, and skill-building, I help kids understand their feelings, manage stress, and strengthen coping skills. This process fosters resilience, self-esteem, and more positive relationships at home and with peers. I also work directly with parents, offering strategies for effective communication and cooperative problem-solving that can be applied in daily life.
Areas we may focus on together include parenting support, sibling relationships, separation and divorce, grief and loss, family conflict, self-esteem, identity, anxiety, depression, and trauma. My style is collaborative and interactive, with an emphasis on building connection and equipping families with tools that make a lasting difference.
Being & Belonging: LGBTQIA+ Tween & Teen Support Group
Being & Belonging is an in-person, sliding-scale support group for LGBTQIA+ tweens and teens in the Portland area, created in response to requests from local families. Facilitated in an affirming, identity-positive space, the group helps young people explore who they are, build resilience, and connect with peers who understand their lived experience. We weave together reflection, skill-building, and community care so participants feel seen, supported, and empowered. Learn more and join here: mindfulparenting.com/beingbelonging.
Sessions are offered via secure video (Zoom). The fee for a 50-minute therapy session is $275. A 60-minute session—often recommended for couples and families—is $300. Longer sessions are available by request and are prorated. For continuity and momentum, I recommend reserving a regular weekly appointment time. Weekday appointments are currently available.
